Poblano's Tex Mex Grill & Cantina

Last night, we decided to eat at Poblano's Tex Mex Grill & Cantino in Frankenmuth, Michigan. What a wonderful surprise the evening became! The restaurant sits on a side street a couple of blocks off of the main street that runs north to south through Frankenmuth. When we opened the door a nice, pleasant aroma of Tex Mex foods filled the air. The restaurant's decore is a lightweight industrial look. For a Sunday evening the restaurant was steadily busy. There were customers still entering shan we left about 8:00 p.m. We were promptly seated. The wait staff brought us menus and took our drink orders. Then, came the most pleasant surprise! Chips and salsa! Oh my! The salsa!! It had the perfect spice/heat (a low-medium) and a wonderful consistency. It as not runny nor chunky. Just perfect like a Tex Mex table salsa should be. You could scoop it and it stayed on the chip. The salsa would be enough of a draw to go to Poblano's for drinks with the chips and salsa for a snack! The food was played visually appealingly. The food potions were substantial. I had the beef enchiladas with queso. We all took home about half of our meals. It was a pleasant atmosphere, excellent wait staff, and delightful dishes! The best compliment I can give is this: "We will be back!" We have been back several times and the food has been wonderful!

Although we came in on a Friday night we had amazing service from our waitress Ciara she made our experience here amazing! It was extremely busy line out the door and we got sat fast and got our food very quickly! If you come here you won’t be disappointed! The Chimichanga Cheesecake is also amazing!

Food was decent. My enchiladas weren't the best I've had but good. Boyfriend loved this burrito and the child loved his chicken strips and French fries. They have outside seating and the whole place is beautiful. Smallish but really great atmosphere!

Second visit!! I was so happy to come in on a Saturday afternoon and have a great meal. My go to is fajitas and it didn’t disappoint. My husband had a burrito dish that was also very good. This restaurant is on par with going to Detroit’s Mexican Village for genuine Mexican food. Salsa was so thick and delicious. We didn’t wait and the patio was open which brought fresh air in and a very laidback atmosphere. Our server was Desiree and she was very nice and we never had to wait for anything, refills on drinks, boxes to take home were all brought to us. Great service!

Sat outside on the covered patio with my bride...fast service cold drinks..salsa came 1 hot 1 mild...which is nice because she prefers mild and I prefer hot...I ordered chicken fajita which was cooked perfect with just the right amount of seasoning. She ordered Mexicali burrito. Mine was excellent, she said she liked hers also. I would definitely come back.

Alex is a wonderful part of Poblano's - a friendly, efficient, and accommodating server. Fun atmosphere! The salsa for the chips was deliciously flavorful. Digging into our fajita, switching the topping for each one, was an adventure that delightfully quenched our appetite! I enjoyed the seasonings on the rice. Yum! This location is easily accessible, with ample parking.

Had a late night dinner last night 3/29 after we were craving Mexican food, decided we wanted to head to Frankenmuth and hangout on the town and stopped here to eat. Have been here several times but by far this was the best of them all, our server Alissa was on top of her game and had the attitude of the go-getter! The attitude alone from her was the best and that’s what should always be displayed in the serving/restaurant world! She is the kind of person who deserves any kind of promotions there are to offer, you just can’t beat that awesome attitude! Was a great experience to end the night, and was assured we can request her anytime we stop in after this visit and will be sure to always have the same experience. Will be back for the food, and to also visit with Alissa time and time again. Keep up the good work!!!

Had an amazing experience. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. What really made the visit stand out was the exceptional service. Our server Alissa was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. You can tell they truly care about their guests. Can’t wait to come back!
